VEHICLE TECHNICIAN ACCREDITED ASSESSMENT (VTAA)

The Vehicle Technician Accredited Assessment VTAA recognises the equivalent of Level 3 knowledge and skills for technicians who do not hold a formal qualification. The accreditation enables motor vehicle technicians who have worked in their roles for four or more years to prove their capabilities at Level 3. The VTAA is a requirement for technicians without a Level 3 qualification who wish to progress to the Level 2 Awards in MOT Testing and DVSA Certificate of Competence to begin conducting MOT tests under the new DVSA requirements.

MOT ANNUAL ASSESSMENT AND 3 HOURS CPD

This course is ideal for all current MOT testers. We guide you through the new CPD requirements, provide testers with an annual CPD certificate and complete the annual assessment all in one simple and enjoyable session. LEVEL 2 AWARD IN MOT TESTING QUALIFICATION CLASSES 4 & 7

We are able to offer a bespoke MOT testers qualification that is suitable for your business, ideal if you are a small or busy garage .We offer varies course times and dates including evenings and saturdays to provide minimum desruption to your business. LEVEL 3 AWARD IN MOT CENTRE MANAGEMENT

This course provides testing centre management staff the minimum qualification requirements for all  centres. We use a variety of blended learning and supportive teaching to guide you through the course content and assessment.  Please contact us for the next available date and times.

MOT CENTRE AUDIT SERVICE

If you’re involved in running an MOT centre, you must make sure MOT tests meet the standards set out by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

To do this, we will:

  • put management systems in place to run your business

  • check and assess MOT test standards using policies and quality checks

  • manage your MOT testers, including recruiting suitable testers and making sure they take regular training

  • maintain and monitor your premises and equipment to keep it safe

  • understand your MOT centre’s risk rating

Service and Repair of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

The Service and Repair of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles accreditation recognises the equivalent of Level 3 knowledge and skills for technicians who do not hold a formal qualification. The accreditation enables automotive technicians, who have at least two years’ experience in a technically relevant role, to demonstrate their:

  • knowledge in working safely on electric and hybrid vehicles

  • competence in removing and replacing high voltage components

  • competence in diagnosing and rectifying high voltage electrical faults

Level 1 Award in Automotive Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness

This single unit qualification has been developed to provide individuals, working within the automotive environment, with the essential knowledge of the hazards associated with Electric/Hybrid vehicles and the precautions to follow to avoid these.

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN AUTOMOTIVE REFRIGERANT HANDLING (EC842-2006)

This single unit qualification has been developed to provide individuals, working within an automotive repair and servicing environment, with the required skills and knowledge required to meet the European Union fluorinated greenhouse gas F-gas regulations EC 842/2006 and the later Annex EC 307/2008 which came into force on 4th July 2010.
Achievement of this qualification meets the minimum requirements for a Mobile Air Conditioning MAC technician to legally recover automotive refrigerant from light vehicles and car derived vans.
*Please note that this qualification does not meet the requirements of a technician working with Cargo Refrigerant.
There are no specific academic or vocational achievement requirements to register on this qualification. However, a basic knowledge of the operation of automotive air conditioning systems and the environmental regulations surrounding fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerants would be an advantage.
